The Climb

After a long of driving we arrived at Grand Teton National Park. There we were greeted by a mountain range hidden in clouds. Slightly discouraged we set up camp in a frozen over parking lot and got as good of a night sleep as one could expect in the snow, which would quickly melt from our body heat. The next morning we woke up to soaked sleeping bags and clear skies. In high spirits we rented some snow shoes and went on one of the most beautiful hikes I had ever experienced. This being my first time snowshoeing my expectations were low and I was left pleasantly surprised. This photo shows my buddy hiking towards a frozen lake with the spectacular Grand Teton Range towering in the background. The Grand Tetons is still a place I long to visit again. I still have to see some Bison after all!
